On the 16 June of 2025, the department welcomed experts from the Institut Scientifique de Service Public (ISSeP) in Liège, Belgium, for a visit of the MARS site.

The ACTRIS CARS Center and PROBE CA18235 host a three-day practical session focused on quality assurance procedures for aerosol lidar measurements. The training covers specific hardware testing and the use of the ATLAS software (Automated Lidar Analysis Software). The event follows a hybrid format, with theoretical sessions available online.

The European Commission has made a long-awaited decision to establish the ACTRIS  as a European Research Infrastructure Consortium (ERIC). Seventeen (17) countries are pooling resources to provide open access to a wide range of technologies, services, and resources in the field of atmospheric science.
