Representatives from ACTRIS-Romania participated yesterday, October 22, 2026, in the Opening Conference of the Swiss-Romanian Cooperation Programme (held at the ELI NP Facility Headquarters in Măgurele)! This major event marked the official launch of the “International Research Cooperation Programme (IRCP)” and the “Emissions Research and Monitoring Infrastructure (ERMI) Programme”.
A key highlight for our community was the dedicated plenary presentation on the ACTRIS Component within the ERMI Programme, delivered by Jeni Vasilescu as Programme Component Coordinator. Furthermore, Nicolae Ajtai (Babes-Bolyai University) successfully moderated the interactive breakout session dedicated to the Policy Dialogue on the ERMI Programme.
The day concluded with a highly engaging visit to MARS, where participants had the opportunity to explore our facility and discuss practical features.
We are proud to be actively involved in advancing atmospheric research and strengthening bilateral cooperation between Romania and Switzerland, alongside leading Swiss institutions like Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI Laboratory of Atmospheric Chemistry). Looking forward to the impactful results and next activities of this collaboration!
