The ambient monitors measure gas concentrations using classical methods such as the cross-flow modulated semi decompression chemoluminiscence method (for NOx monitor), UV fluorescence (SO2 monitor), non-dispersion cross modulation infrared analysis method (CO monitor), ultraviolet absorption method (O3 monitor), cross-flow modulated selective combustion type method combined with a hydrogen ion detection method (THC monitor) and gas filter correlation spectroscopy (CO2).
NOx: The ambient monitors have high sensitivity (0.1 ppm – Nox, 0.05 ppm – SO2, 0.1 ppm – O3, 5 ppm – CO, 0.5 ppm – THC and 0.01 ppm CO2) and flow rate 0.8 l/min – NOx, 0.7 l/min SO2, 0.7 l/min – O3, 1.5 l/min – CO, 0.9 l/min – THC and 1 l/min CO2. The ambient monitors have 4 selectable manual ranges, except of CO2 monitor with only 3 autoranging scales.
The output results are average, integration values and rolling average concentration with an integrating time of 3 minutes.
